Our morning began at 4. Papa went down to feed the horses while I made a fresh batch of muffins. Over the next two hours, Papa saddled Oscar and ran more water into the Rock House corral tank, while I prepped for Branding Lunch at our house. The Roundup Crew led by Colter and Carly, started arriving at our house by 6. Within minutes of arrival, everyone had a muffin (or two) and were in their saddles, ready to gather cows. They set off just after sunrise, with light cloud cover.
