Pictographs vs. Petroglyphs

Living in the southwest, we are fortunate to see rock art more often than those living in
other parts of the country.  We have petroglyphs and pictographs on the ranch.  Petroglyphs are images created by removing part of a rock surface by incising, picking, carving, and abrading.  Pictographs are images drawn or painted on a rock face.
