NYC Weekend

On Friday morning, I flew from Kentucky to St. Louis, then on to NYC.  I was invited to Lisa and Brian's rehearsal dinner.  Lisa is the daughter of my long time best friend, Linda.  Lisa, Claire, and Whitney started kindergarten together in 1988 in Highland Park.  The rehearsal dinner was at the Water Club with a great view over the East River.  It was a fun evening!
I got up quite early on Saturday and took the train from Penn Station to Princeton,
to spend the morning with Whitney and her family.  The weather was rather dreary,
so we decorated a haunted gingerbread house, made cookies, read books, and played.
After lunch, Whitney and I took the train back to the city to get ready for Lisa's wedding.
Lisa was a beautiful bride!  It was special to be included in the wedding,
and the reception was gorgeous, with orchids everywhere!

After a late night, Whitney and I got up and walked from 49th/Lexington to the north end of Central Park and around the reservoir.  After all that walking, we stopped for cookies at Levain Bakery.  Corey drove into the city with Toby and Greta and we met at the Museum of Natural History for some dinosaur time.  We made a stop at the park before parting.  We had a fun day!
