Athens

Papa and I made a return visit to Athens today.  We first visited in 2008.  This time we chose our favorite places to revisit.  We took the train from the Port of Piraeus to the gate of the ancient Agora.  The Temple of Hephaistos, built between 460 and 415 BC was first on our agenda, just a few steps inside the Agora grounds.  It is the most complete temple ruin in Greece and is within sight of the Acropolis.  We visited the Acropolis, and the two amphitheaters down below.  We walked around the Plaka neighborhood, splurged on baklava for lunch, and saw many other ruins along the way.
We had a good day in Athens!
