As soon as the cowboys leave for roundup, everyone left at our house, begins to tick off a list of chores. We set up tables and chairs; get out serving dishes, plates, and napkins; cook last minute dishes; and watch the ridges, looking for cowboys. Some catch lizards and others draw with sidewalk chalk. We get Rangers ready to transport newborn calves to the corral. A fox even joined us, carrying its baby across the yard. Its a busy time!
