I purchased tickets to the Vatican Museums online, about two months prior to our visit to Rome. When we saw the ticket line, we were happy to have our tickets! The line was a quarter mile long and growing when we arrived about 9:15 a.m. This was Papa's first visit to the Vatican Museums and my second, with the first visit 38 years ago. The ceilings in every gallery are amazing.
The Sistine Chapel left us speechless. Just exquisite!
