Papa and I arrived in Rome at 7:30 pm today. We took the train from the airport to the city, and then a taxi to our hotel. It was 9 pm by the time we dropped our bags and freshened up a bit to go out. First stop... for gelato, of course! We walked for two hours, from Campo de Fiori through ancient Roman ruins to the Colosseum and back to the hotel. Rome is beautiful at night!
