Over the past two days, Papa has gotten up at 3:30 and left the house by 4, to go down to the corral to feed and saddle the horses. He was on the road by 4:45 to get to Tom's ranch by 6 a.m. Papa has helped with Tom's roundup this week.
Yesterday he came home and told me about a snake Colter killed during roundup. It was a rattlesnake, over 5' long with a big bulge. Seems they cut it open and the snake had swallowed a big rabbit that was still mostly intact. Today, he told me about Les roping a bear! And it was big! All in a day's work as a cowboy!
