Papa's sister and my sister-in-law, Mary, has spent more time with us over the years since we bought the ranch in 2003. She lives in Phoenix, about 3.5 hours from the ranch. She makes several trips to the ranch each year. Her latest visit was for our branding weekend in July. Earlier this year, she joined us on a two day trip to Canyon de Chelly. She flew to Jordan to meet me after Colby's birth, and we visited Petra together along with other sightseeing in Amman and Um Qais.
She and I flew on to Florida for a girls weekend with my Mom and Audrey.
Mary retired a couple of years ago, after 35 years with the IRS. She is a dancer and a photographer. She is a terrific "chopper" in the kitchen. We enjoy cooking together, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, with several favorites always on the menu. Mary's has had some health issues over the past couple of years, and faced them with a smile. We always have fun together!
