On Monday, we left the ranch and drove to Globe/Miami, where Papa grew up. We had lunch with Peggy and Charlie, at the El Rey Cafe in Miami. Spending time with Peggy and Charlie was a treat. Charlie told stories of memories made with Great Papa. So much fun and funny!
We spent the rest of the day driving, through the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Parks, through a sandstorm near Shiprock, New Mexico, and on to Durango, Colorado. We stayed overnight with long time friend, Dick. We got up early on Tuesday and walked around downtown Durango with Dick. Was wonderful to catch up on children, mutual friends, and life in general.
