While cowboys have been rounding up cows and calves, repairing fences, and getting corrals ready for the branding onslaught, I've been working in the kitchen to prepare the "after branding dinner" for 35-40 people. The menu for this year's dinner:

Audrey and Mary arrived yesterday afternoon and helped me in the kitchen all morning. We made good progress and will have an easy time tomorrow morning finishing things up in the oven and preparing tables for serving. Today has been great fun for me. So nice to have my sister in law and daughter here to help and enjoy the weekend together.
