Papa and I love stonework. Our three story tower has a stone facade, the base of our house and garage is covered with stone, and short stone walls surround our driveway and back courtyard. Papa and I gathered all the stone for construction, within a 1/2 mile of our home. It was a time of weight lifting on steroids, as we gathered well over 100 tons of stone. As we turned over stones and struggled to get them into a front end loader, we came across some stones that weren't right for our building project, but were just right for our garden. This large rock with a nice indent is in our back yard and catches rain. Birds love it!
