Claire's Neighborhood in Amman

I took a few photos of Claire's home, ruins down the block, and vista photos from her street.  

Almost all homes and buildings are built of cream colored stone.  Claire's neighborhood, 

Abdoun, has many embassies and beautiful large homes.  She and David live in a 

five story apartment building, with nine apartments.  Theirs is four bedroom/4.5 baths 

with about 3000 square feet.  It is quite spacious and modern.

Visiting Claire in Amman, Jordan

Two weeks ago tomorrow, Claire had emergency surgery in Amman.  She is not supposed to lift Emerson for a month, so I came to Amman to help her and to play with Emerson.  Emerson has grown so much since Christmas, with four teeth now, pulling up and walking around things while holding on, crawling wherever she wants to go, and smiling and belly laughing.  She is adorable! Claire is adorable too, and healing nicely, thank goodness!

Ranch Manager

We are really blessed to have Colter managing our ranch.  We are also blessed by our friendship with him and Carly, and their children, Madilyn, Colter Lee, and Traven.  The whole family travels across the ranch in their Ranger, to check waters together.  They are always happy.  Love them!

Rock House Redone

Over the past few months, Papa and I did a lot of work on the Rock House, our guesthouse.  We painted virtually every interior surface, including the floor.  We also painted all the windows and doors, inside and outside.  I made new curtains for the sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, and the pantry.  I hung several new framed photos in the bathroom and kitchen.  Papa made repairs inside and outside.  We are pleased with the results.  The Rock House is tighter and all surfaces are more crisp.  

Wreath on Hay Barn Door

Since we've been on the ranch, Papa has rolled miles of old barbed wire.  This barbed wire "wreath" hangs on the door of the hay barn.  

Sunrise...Sunset

We have an ever changing floor to ceiling view from our living room of the sky at sunrise and sunset.  It is spectacular all day every day!

Daughter and Dad

Audrey visited us at the ranch for a couple of days and spent some time with her Dad, hiking and tending horses together, even wearing his sheepskin coat. 

Bosque Del Apache

I made a second trip in two months to Bosque del Apache in New Mexico, this time with sister-in-law Mary.  We were treated to a spectacular show of Canadian Snow Geese. 

Fence

We have over 50 miles of fence on the ranch.  Much of it needs annual checks and repairs.  Over the past month Papa and I have been hiking along our boundary fence to the south, stopping to make basic repairs.  Papa has an ongoing job!
