Madilyn, Colter Lee, and Traven came over this afternoon. We made things for Carly for Mother's Day. I cleaned several tin cans before they arrived. They hammered holes and used an electric drill to make more holes. Papa attached wire handles. I covered the kids as best I could in plastic bags with sandwich bags on their hands, before they spray painted the cans. We were all quite a mess, but they were happy with the results... black, gold, and white lanterns.
For
their second project, each did a hand print and a fingerprint on
a white cotton bag. They painted a stem for each of their hand prints
and I filled in with grass, ladybugs, and bees. Voila, a pretty Mother's Day bag! In between all the crafts, we flew kites. We had fun this afternoon!
