Trogir

We left Opatija yesterday morning and drove south to Trogir.  It was our longest driving day, with about three and a half hours in the car.  We arrived in time to enjoy lunch in Trogir,
a pretty small island, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Trogir is ancient and mostly intact, lived in with children playing a soccer game next to the old castle ruins, and busy with locals buying at the fruit and vegetable market and going to work.  The inky blue water of the Adriatic is clear and beautiful and very much a central character in the history of Trogir, with the Venetians in control for hundreds of years.  We stayed in Villa Moretti BandB across the bridge from Trogir.  Villa Moretti has remained in the same family for hundreds of years.
There's a good, happy vibe in Trogir.
