I hiked this morning just as the sun was coming over the mountain. As I got just inside the Buck Knob pasture gate, about 25 heifers looked up and decided to get ahead of me. They stayed in the lead all the way to the drinker. After getting a drink, they lined up as if to say, "see you later."
